Laughing Jackal

Php, MySQL, jQuery, Zurb Foundation

Laughing Jackal are a small game developer based in Braintree, Essex and I was employed by them between 2008-2015. I was asked to redesign their website so that it incorporated a blog and also pages based around the games they created. I decided that rather than use Wordpress I would create my own custom CMS solution for speed and also so it would do exactly what we wanted it to do without some of the limitations imposed by Wordpress at the time. Over time the site evolved and I soon decided to use Zurb Foundation to make it responsive so that mobile traffic could read the site as easily as desktop users. Social buttons were integrated into the site and I also moved from an internal commenting system to using LiveFyre so that our users could use their social accounts to log in.
